Bart Starr to Speak at Rogers Memorial Anniversary Event
RMH Annual Update Newsletter August 2007

Bart StarrFormer Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr will be the keynote speaker at Rogers Memorial's October 3rd luncheon for the Milwaukee business community. The luncheon will highlight the value of making behavioral health treatment acceptable in the work place. Mr. Starr will discuss his personal perspective on substance abuse issues and how they impacted him and his family.

David L. Moulthrop, PhD, Rogers Memorial President and CEO, said, "As we mark this 100-year milestone, we realize there is much work to be done in addressing the stigma related to mental illnesses. Therefore, our hospital's year-long observance has two goals: to celebrate and to educate. By connecting business leaders with a someone whose life has been touched by a mental health care issue, we can create awareness of the stigma against mental illnesses and the positive benefits of having a work environment that encourages employees to go for treatment."

The luncheon will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at the downtown Milwaukee Athletic Club, 758 N. Broadway, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition to Mr. Starr, the program will briefly include State Senator Neal Kedzie, State Representative Steve Naas and Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton. Tickets are $100 per person and corporate tables are available.
