Azhar M. Yunus, MD, is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who practices full-time at Rogers Memorial Hospital – Milwaukee.

Dr. Yunus was chief resident and child fellow in the division of child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics from 2006 to 2008 where he was awarded the Outstanding Psychiatry Resident award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

He also completed his residency in general psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2006 following his general psychiatry internship at the Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship in 2003 at the University of Michigan School of Medicine, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Yunus earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in Antilles, Netherlands in 2002 and attended the University of Wisconsin for his bachelor’s degree and post-graduate work.

He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Wisconsin Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Medical Association and Wisconsin Medical Society.

His clinical interests include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, autism and other pervasive developmental disorders.
