FOCUS Typical Day

Each aspect of your treatment day at FOCUS is carefully planned to include purposeful activities. The structured schedule is designed to help you better manage your mood and the other issues that affect your mood such as your self-esteem and relationships.

The FOCUS program provides programming seven days per week. The integration of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with specialized group activities helps you to interact with your treatment team and other residents. Mindfulness skills, through DBT-informed skills training, help you learn increase your ability to cope in various situations.

In addition to group activities, you will have individual sessions with a psychiatrist at scheduled times throughout the week and work with a behavioral specialist several times per week.
