Child and Adolescent Treatment Services

“The Child & Adolescent Center treatment program offers a strong emphasis on psychiatric education and therapy, as well as developing insight to improve self-esteem and deal with problems in behavior, socialization and family relationships. This is emphasized throughout treatment, especially in the experiential components, which include the ropes and challenge course, art therapy and adventure-based experiences.”

- Peter Lake, M.D., medical director of The Child & Adolescent Center, Rogers Memorial Hospital, Oconomowoc

General Information
The Child & Adolescent Center of Rogers Memorial Hospital offers boys and girls age 12 to 17 with a longer term (30-45 days) intensive care program of intervention and treatment to address child and adolescent psychiatric disorders. The program is designed with the intensity of inpatient treatment and the flexibility and features of a residential program.

Directed by a child and adolescent psychiatrist and managed by an experienced, nationally certified recreational therapist, the program offers a high staff to patient ratio; recreational/activity-based therapy; and an expert multidisciplinary team.
