At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Summarize recent findings indicating our biological proclivity for connection, and the implications of this research.
- Recognize strategies for helping eating disordered clients sense and integrate self-experience.
- Identify the key elements in fostering and maintaining attuned, collaborative relationships with eating disordered clients.
- Define countertransference and name several strategies for managing and working with countertransference reactions.

ACCREDITATION INFORMATION:
All participants who complete a continuing education request form (included in the seminar materials) will receive a certificate. Please contact your individual licensing board/regulatory agency to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal.
- Social Workers: Rogers Memorial Hospital, provider number 1101, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Approval period: October 19, 2008 – October 19, 2011. Rogers Memorial Hospital maintains responsibility for the social work aspects of the program. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers will receive 6.0 clinical contact hours for participation in this course.
- Licensed Professional Counselors: Rogers Memorial Hospital, provider number 6192, is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. 6.0 instructional clock hours will be awarded. Rogers Memorial Hospital adheres to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines.
