NEDA to survey eating disorders resources for college students

National Eating Disorders Awareness WeekThe NEDA recently launched a national survey directed at college counseling center staff to identify what resources are offered to students struggling with eating disorders and body image.

The story was told in an article in Newsweek magazine, which noted an increase in eating disorder-type behaviors on college campuses, and that college is a crucial time for intervention.

Rogers Memorial Hospital recently launched a treatment program in Madison, Wis., specifically aimed at reaching young adults and college-aged students. The program is one of Rogers' partial hospitalization programs that make specialized treatment available, allowing students to continue to keep up with course work while staying in treatment at the times those with eating disorders often say they need the most help.
