Residential Treatment

Residential Treatment:

Rogers is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital, nationally recognized for specialty residential treatment programs for eating disorders, addiction, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders for children, teens and adults.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, also known as CBT, has emerged as one of the most effective treatments for OCD and anxiety issues, and is beneficial for treating other mental health patients as well.

CBT is effective treatment

Research supports the effectiveness of CBT in helping people make changes in their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. In fact, our outcome data shows that 80 percent of people seeking treatment through our CBT programs reported a significant improvement in their anxiety symptoms. Patients who rated their symptoms as severe were able to reduce anxiety levels to much more manageable level.

How it works

CBT programs at Rogers provide a graduated, manageable treatment approach to identify the specific situations that create anxiety, and then develop a plan consisting of small steps to work toward overcoming the anxiety, celebrating their success along the way. Using this approach, patients can gain control over their symptoms and learn effective strategies they can continue to use throughout their lives.

Exposure and ritual prevention (ERP) is widely recognized as the treatment of choice for obsessive-compulsive disorder. This gradual, repetitive therapy focuses on exposing people to feared situations in order to reduce anxiety and prevent rituals.

Cognitive restructuring is a CBT technique which helps the afflicted to identify and challenge typical “errors” in thinking that can cause higher levels of anxiety.

CBT experts at Rogers lead the industry

All treatment team members work under the direction of nationally recognized expert Clinical Director Dr. Bradley C. Riemann, PhD who is respected for the assessment, treatment and research of anxiety disorders. His team of more than 40 highly trained staff provide this specialized treatment and understand the use of CBT knowing that it is highly effective and sought after because it works. Rogers is also using CBT for treatment of eating disorders and other co-occurring disorders.
